Bret Easton Ellis

Bret Easton Ellis was born on March 7, 1964, in Los Angeles. His most famous work is American Psycho, which, because of its extreme violence, caused many petitions to have it banned. It was not. However, Bret Easton Ellis was dropped by his publisher, Simon & Schuste. Alfred A Knopf took him on and published American Psycho as a paperback, and the rest is history.
