Colin Dexter was born in Stamford in England on September 29, 1930 and died in Oxford, England on March 21, 2017. Colin Dexter started writing the Morse ember 29, 1930 and died on Mysteries in 1973 while on holiday in Wales on a rainy afternoon. They were immensely popular and a TV series followed in which Dexter would play a cameo role in most of them. Thirty three episodes were produced between 1987 and 2001. Last Bus to Woodstock is the first book in the series.
