Ken Heskin was born on September 28, 1945, in Belfast, Northern Ireland. After completing a Bachelor degree with honours in Queens Uiversity (1968), Ken went on to achieve a Doctor of Philosophy in Durham University (1975) and a Master of Ard in Trinity College, Dublin. (1979) Ken worked in several universities across the UK and Ireland until he moved on to Australia in 1988. He was head of School Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Deputy vice-chancellor, Chief Executive Officer Swinburne Sarawak Institute of Technology from 1994 until 2000. From there he became Chief Executive Officer Swinburne Sarawak Institute of Technology, Kuching, East Malaysia, since 2000.
