Nicole Krauss lives in Brooklyn, New York, her native city, where she was born in 1974. Krauss has had stories published by Esquire, New Yorker and Best American Short Stories. Nicole Krauss is a multiple award nominee author, having been shortlisted for Richard and Judy's book club award for The History of Love for which she won the Saroyan Prize for International Fiction. She was also nominated for her Great House which she was a finalist in the National Book Awards as well as the Orange Prize.
