Anne's book, The Gathering won the Man Booker Prize in 2007 and her life changed completely.

Anne had been a producer and director for RTE, the Irish National Television service.
At this time she was writing part-time. Anne took up writing full-time after a breakdown.
She would recommend an early breakdown so that you "put it (your life) together again".
