Brian Garfield was born on April 24, 1939. Garfield is an American novelist and thriller writer for films. In 1976 Garfield won the Pulitzer Prize for 'Hopscotch'. Garfield is also the author of the original Death Wish which came to prominence when Charles Bronson took up the lead role in the four films that were produced.
