Brian Jacques was born in Liverpool, England, on June 15, 1939. Brian Jacques died of a heart attack after falling ill with an aortic aneurysm on February 5th, 2011, in the Royal Liverpool Hospital. Jacques is best known for his Redwall fantasy series of books. This is a series of 22 books featuring the lives of mice, squirrels, moles and the like in their battle to stay alive and build a peaceful colony.
