Diane Samuels is an author and a playwright who was born in Liverpool in 1960. She has studied history in college and went on to study drama in Goldsmiths, University of London. Following this she taught drama in an inner London secondary school and was Education Officer for the Unicorn Theatre for children. More recently she has been a reviewer of books for The Guardian Kindertransport is about the many children who were brought to England during the Second World War.
Book Review:In 1938/9 thousands of children were sent to Britain from Germany to find a new life. These were children of Jewish parents who sent their children to have a safer life. This play is about this transformation and the ensuing difficulties faced by all parties to this arrangement.
