Frederik Pohl was born on November 26. 1919 and died on September 2, 2013. Frederik George Pohl wrote science fiction novels, short stories. He edited Galaxy magazine and its sister mag It. Kingsley Amis described Pohl as the best American science fiction writer. That is some praise when you consider the competition. Search the Sky is one of Pohl's early collaborations with C M Kornbluth, a partnership that went on to produce some scintillating science fiction. Midas World is a later stand-alone novel.
