H P Lovecraft was born on August 20, 1890 in Providence, Rhode Island, United States and died there on March 15, 1937. Lovecraft was a writer of horror fiction like no other. He was known for his macabre tales and his inventions of ideas in horror, like the Necronomicron and the Cthulhu Mythos. At the Mountains of Madness is a collection of seven of his stories.
