Richard Adams was an author of novels, largely for the younger reader, although his books can be enjoyed by adults of every age. Watershp Down won the Carnegie Medal in 1973 and Richard Adams has also been nominated the Mythopoetic Fantasy Award in 1975. Richard Adams died in 2016 leaving a fine legacy of work, including The Plague Dogs and The Girl in a Swing, and many others.
