Robert Crais was born on June 20th, 1953 in Independence, Louisiana, USA. Crais writes crime fiction and his main protagonist is Elvis Cole. He started work as a screenwriter on such shows as Hill Street Blues, Cagney & Lacey and LA Law. Robert Crais has won many awards for his work including the 1988 Anthony Award for Best First Novel and in 2006 the Ross McDonald Literary Award. Lullaby Town is the third novel in the Elvis Cole series.
