Charles Frazier was born in Asheville, North Carolina, USA, on November 4, 1950. He is the author of the immensely popular novel Cold Mountain. Cold Mountain won the 1997 National Book Award for Fiction.It was made into a film in 2003 starring Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and Renée Zellweger.
Book Review:Inman has been wounded in the Civil War so he decides to return home and leave the battle behind him. He seeks his true love, Ada, who is struggling to make a living on the land after her father died. Inman has to negotiate the treacherous Cold Mountain before he can reach his Ada.
