Daniel Goleman was born on May 7, 1946 in Stockton, California, United States. Goleman is an author and a science journalist. Goleman contributed to the New York times for twelve years writing about brain and behavioural subjects. He was awarded a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in recognition of his efforts to communicate the behavioural sciences to the public. In Emotional Intelligence Goleman argues that Emotional Intelligence can be more important than I.Q. testing. Thus the subtitle to his book 'Why It Can Matter More Than IQ'.
