Declan Lynch was born in Athlone, County Westmeath, Ireland. He is an Irish journalist and playwright and author. Lynch went to law school but only stayed there for one year before taking up writing for Hot Press magazine. He has written 8 books and 2 plays. Ireland on Three Million Pounds a Day is an early book. It is about the problems of Ireland of another day which "would never happen again". Lynch co-wrote John Giles - Football Man, with the footballer. Declan Lynch has a regular column in the Sunday Independent.
