George Orwell, born Eric Arthur Blair on June 25. 1903 and died on January 21, 1950. His Nineteen Eighty-Four and Animal Farm novels are among the most well-known and much loved novels of their time. And they are enduring the test of time. Orwell was a journalist and critic along with his prowess as a novelist. He went to fight in the Spanish Civil War, was arrested and escaped death narrowly.
