Ian McEwan was born in Aldershot, England on June 21, 1948. McEwan is an author who has won the Man Booker Prize in 1998 for his book, Amsterdam. His novels, Enduring Love and Atonement were both dramatized into major feature films. Keira Knightley won an Oscar for her role in Atonement.
