Jenny was born in Prestwick, Ayrshire, in Scotland. She has been a health service worker, a cartoonist and a stand-up comic. But it was with Welcome to Rosie Hopkins' Sweet Shop of Dreams, that she won Romantic Novel of the Year Award by the Romantic Novelists Association. Jenny has written many other novels, including The Good, the Bad and the Dumped.
