John Updike was a novelist, a short story writer, a critic of art and literature and a poet. Updike was born on March 18, 1932 in Reading, Pennsylvania, United States and died on January 27, 2009 in Danvers, Massachusetts, United States. He won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1991 for Rabbit at Rest and in 1992 for Rabbit is Rich. He also won the National Book Award for Fiction in 1964 for The Centaur and in 1992 for Rabbit is Rich. Terrorist is a novel from 2006.
