Margaret Dickinson was born in Gainsborough in Lincolnshire in 1943.
Margaret's first novel "Pride of the Courtneys" was published in 1968.
Since then, she has published 28 novels and 2 series of books.
Red Sky in the Morning was published in 2004.
She had a sabbatical from writing of seven years where her personal circumstances precluded her from writing.
On her return to her craft Margaret decided to concentrate on what she knew and loved best.
This was the area where she spent most of her adolescence, Lincolnshire.
