Richard P Feynman was born on 11 May, 1918 and died on 15 February, 1988. Richard P Feynman was a theoretical physicist, a lecturer and a Nobel Peace Prize Winner. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, along with Julian Schwinger and Sin-Itiro Tomonaga for their joint contribution to the development of quantum electrodynamics. Feynman had previously worked on the developing the atomic bomb in the USA. Later he was to take part in investigations into the Shuttle Disaster of the 1980's. Feynman was also a lecturer and author of several books, most notably Q.E.D The Strange Theory of Light and Matter.
