Teilhard de Chardin was a French philosopher and a Jesuit priest. Teilhard was born on May 1, 1854 and died on April 10, 1955. He was a paleontologist and geologist and he took part in the discovery of Peking Man, a group of fossil specimens found around 1927 which indicated the presence of homo erectus some 750,000 years ago.
