Whitley Strieber was born on June 13, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas, United States and was educated at Central Catholic High School in San Antonio, Texas, and later at the University of Texas at Austin and the London School of Film Technique. Strieber has published over 30 novels including Black Magic. He has also written non-fiction books dealing with 'visitations' including Communion and Transformation
